I train kickboxing and gracie jiujitsu and want to find away to increase my flexibility meanwhile.
Which would be better – yoga or pilates?
I also want to improve my posture, as I am tall it’s a bit stooped.
If you are choosing between those two systems, Yoga is probably your best bet. Yoga has been refined over a period of hundreds if not thousands of years. Pilates was the flavor of the month a few years back on the “no sweat” country club circuit.
I’m not really down on Pilates, its just relatively new and has been marketed in a trendy fashion. I enjoy Yoga, and the effects are visible in the posture and balance. I just have not seen the same in those who practice Pilates.
i’d go with yoga.. yoga, does more of the flexibility, mind, strength, helps you concentrate.. that sort of thing.. pilates.. is more of a fun way to excersize

i’m not an expert on this, but from what i’ve heard yoga would suit your needs better: pilates is more strength training, whereas yoga focuses a lot on stretching
